Uncommon Time Poetry Reading

Sunday, October 9th from 6 - 8 PM

Location: Back of Beyond Books (83 N Main)

Call for Readers
Could we say that as a community it’s been an uncommon time? Yet, to speak is to speak for yourself. What has been your relationship to time? Has time shown up as shapeshifter, one day elongated, the next day in short supply? Would you say your concept of time has changed over these past few years or more broadly, when have you recognized an era of your life when time played a lead role?

Authors of poetry and prose are invited to respond with works that explore uncommon time/times in our lives. Submissions will be reviewed and the festival’s poetry team will organize a list of writers to read their works aloud during the Red Rock Arts Festival on October 9th at Back of Beyond Books. Writers of all ages, genders, backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to submit their work. All submissions will be considered, though readers may be asked to read only one or a few of their works in the spirit of sharing the evening. There will be an open mic following the reading for those inspired to share spontaneously.

Submit work to by October 3, 2022.
