Have you ever wanted to have fun with clay? What says “ceremonies for the future” more than the coming of spring and flowers! Join Desert Sun Ceramics at Moab Arts for a one hour “playshop” creating small garden creatures and ceremonial symbols filled with a little soil and flower seeds. Participants will receive a small lump of clay and instructions to make little clay garden figures that transform back to the earth over time, offering seeds that will sprout in the spring. Or you can make ceremonial figures or amulets to keep until you’re ready to release them back to the elements. This “playshop" expresses the transitory nature of clay and its many qualities, and simply letting go. Come and make some figures with us! All tools and materials provided.
Free. Limited to 30 people per session, ages 5+. Pre-registration required.
