Day of the Dead Crafts
with the Moab Valley Multicultural Center
9/30 from Noon to 4 p.m.
Street Fest on 100 North (111 E 100 N)
Kids of all ages are invited to join the Moab Valley Multicultural Center staff in making decorative flowers that will be displayed at our 2023 Day of the Dead festival. The festival, set this year on October 29th at MVMC, is a celebration of life that honors spirits and loved ones who have passed away. Per some people's cultural beliefs, the holiday is when spirits return to earth to visit the living. That's why we need your help! The brightly colored flowers we create today are just one of the ways we invite the spirits back for a brief time on earth. The more colorful, the better!
The Moab Valley Multicultural Center's mission is to build bridges of social support, cultural appreciation, and education to strengthen the well-being of our community. They serve and collaborate with participating individuals, families, and organizations in Moab and surrounding rural areas. They offer crisis resources and advocacy, life skills support, cultural education and outreach, youth education and outreach, and interpretation and translation services.
